Mohammed Afaque Ansari
Mohammed Afaque Ansari had learned the craft of block making under the supervision of his maternal uncle. His father was a skilled leather-worker. From childhood, Ansari had interest in art. He started learning block making when he was in middle school. Later he took it as his profession. He traveled to several cities in India, and presently works in Calcutta, his most favorite city. His workshop is at Burrabazaar in Calcutta.
